Aerodynamic characteristics of airfoils
Foltýn, Pavel ; Cejpek, Jakub (referee) ; Koutník, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis describes an influence of geometric characteristics of an airfoil on its aerodynamic properties. The first part of the thesis defines airfoil, describes its geometric characteristics, emergence of aerodynamic forces and convection around airfoil. The second part deals with influence of profile geometry on aerodynamic properties of airfoils. It is shown on NACA four and six digit profiles, in their buoyancy and moment lines and polars. The last part deals with wind tunnels and measurement in them. The thesis focuses on forces and moments measurement by force balances and static and total pressure measurement. Velocity measurement is focused on the laser Doppler velocimetry, on the hot-wire velocity probe and PIV method. Very briefly selected flow visualization methods are shown there. Comparison of profile characteristic obtained by measuring in wind tunnels and numerical simulation in Xfoil program is also shown there.
Mobil system for monitoring of sports activity
Maleňák, Filip ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is to analyse methods that are used for monitoring athlete’s activities and a description of current technical solutions with a focus on heart rate and respiratory rate monitoring. The presented solution shows the possibilities of using available open source SW and HW technologies and their implementation in the design of an integrated tool for monitoring sports activities with the iOS operating system.
Meter of pulse frequency variability
Starzyczny, Radek ; Lutera, Ondřej (referee) ; Strašil, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to design and construct an autonomous module for receiving and processing HRV (Heart Rate Variability). The device is made as an extension board for development kit STM32. For receiving HR signal is used sensor RMCM-01. The device allow calculate and display the heart rate and its variability and some more parameters from collected data.
Gliders in Today's Aviation
Schoř, Pavel ; Zikmund, Pavel (referee) ; Šošovička, Róbert (advisor)
The introduction of this bachelor`s thesis deals with a brief history of gliders. Second chapter explains basic principles of unpowered aircraft flight, including the principle, how an unpowered glider can climb. Commonly used take-off methods are also mentioned. In all chapters, the examples are explained on Standard Cirrus glider, because it is very widespread in Czech Republic and is financially well affordable. Third chapter describes natural principles, which are used by glider pilots to gain an altitude. An extra attention is paid to gaining an altitude in thermals. In fourth chapter, the gliders are divided according to their purpose and sporting category. Short description of glider construction is mentioned, including a description of instruments, which are necessary for a cross country flight. The description of cross country flight is mentioned at end of this chapter. Last chapter compares Standard Cirrus glider with SZD 56-2, which is one of the today`s best 15m gliders. The main purpose is to illustrate the progress in glider designing, which was achieved during last 40 years, in the light of previous chapters.
Heart Rate Variability Measurement Device
Süss, Ivo ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Strašil, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to develop a device that will receive the signal from sporttester belt and then that signal will be processed. The meter is based on development kit STM32 Primer 2. To receive signals from sporttester belts uses sensor RMCM-01 Polar. The meter allows measurement of parameters of heart variability, recording on a memory card and work with the measured data from the memory card.
Conceptual design of training aircraft with electric propulsion
Seman, Matúš ; Zikmund, Pavel (referee) ; Hlinka, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on conceptual design of electric powered training aircraft, using certification guidelines CS-LSA. Designing process of geometrical and aerodynamic characteristics is primary based on statistics of certificated aircrafts in this particular category. The following calculation of performance stabilities and flight performances is based on knowledge of aerodynamic polar. The calculation of the polar is also part of this thesis. The last part of the thesis consists of construction design of the front part of fuselage and engine static structural analysis of engine mounts.
Differences between the workload of top beach volleyball players by specialization during the match
Chalupa, Jan ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Differences between the workload of top beach volleyball players by specialization during the match. Objektives: The main objective of this thesis is to observe the external load of players during the match. To determine whether the load varies and as a player who plays mainly in the field - fielder and the player who plays mainly on the network and blocks - blocker. We will focus on quantitative indicators of external loads. Methods: The research is formed by an evaluation. Another method which was used was a method of data mining ( measurements, observations) and their further elaboration. Results: The results present and evaluate implemented programs. These results should lead to a condition training program solution for junior men players of beach volleyball. Key words: Volleyball, beachvolleyball, physical strain, condition training.
Tracking the success of attack after the previous defense strike for beach volleyball players
Pihera, Martin ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of the work: The aim of this work was to find out what attacks after the previous defense are played by the best players in the world and whether they are successful. Method: In this work I used statistics from videos on the Beach Major Series. Results: The results showed that the hardest strikes are most often played diagonally. Then statistics showed that players are successful in over half of their strikes, except for one exception. Defensive game abilities, combinations and systems in beach volleyball
Pihera, František ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor) ; Petružela, Jan (referee)
The main intention of this bachelor's work was to observe and compare types of defense of three chosen beach volleyball teams, which were as follows: Perušič/Schweiner, Mol/Sorum and McKibbin/McKibbin. Results were based on statistics of watched matches and a questionnaire, which was sent to the chosen teams. The present paper is made of two parts. Firstly, a theoretical introduction which explains the main issue to the reader, outlines the general history of beach volleyball and defines the main terms needed to understand the research. The following practical part focuses on the observation of the chosen matches and their evaluation based on the filled-in questionnaire. With regards to the traced data, the best defense has the team of McKibbin/McKibbin, which scored the highest percentage of successful defense (61%). Second was the team of Perušič/Schweiner, with the percentage of 54% of rewarding defense, and third came the team of Mol/Sorum, who were successful in 51% of all defense cases. Keywords: blocker, defender, block, beach volleyball, "side-out", defense, fruitfulness
Comparison of functions of sporttesters designed to guide and control parameters of movement in water
Hájková, Anna ; Jurák, Daniel (advisor) ; Peslová, Eva (referee)
Title: Comparison of functions of sports testers designed for control and monitoring of parameters of movement in water Objectives: Comparison and evaluation of individual functions of selected sport-testers in different types of swimming training. Methods: The research group consisted of one probande, a student of Charles University FTVS. In the research, we chose a controlled observation method to detect and compare the individual functions of selected sports testers over three types of swimming training. Results: Based on an analysis of the accuracy of the recording of observed quantities for individual sporttesters, we found that the sporttesters Polar and Garmin can be used both to manage and guide and control swimming training. However, the final record needs to be supplemented by the exact sum of the swimming metres, which in turn refines the results of the average swimming speed. The Swimmo sports tester was rated the worst, based on inaccurate measurements of individual quantities and instrument control. In an overall assessment of all devices and their parameters, the Sporttester Polar was the best. Keywords: heart rate, swimming training, Garmin, Polar, Swimmo
